Toilets and "I'm Huge in Japan"

A couple of crazy things about Japan. Number one is the toilet situation. When you go in a washroom you either get a hole in the floor with two foot slots on either side, or you get a super funky pimped up seat that requires an instruction manual. I don't think we will be enlightened anytime soon, becuase we all agree that the funky pimped up version is way better then the hole in the floor! The best feature of the funky ones..... the heated seat.

The instructions on how to get the most out of your super seat

The not frills version.... you decide.

For Bronwyn and Fintan this has been a great trip for many reasons. The one thing that we didn't expect was that the trip would be so good for their self esteem! Everyday of the trip we have had Japanese people asking if they can take a picture of the two of them. People come up and touch their hair, their hands and one couple even posed with the kids in a photo! They are constantly having people coming up and saying "hi", people pointing, waving and smiling at them. It's really strange, yet very fascinating.

"No way, I'm way huger!"
